Since its early days, in 1883, Bodega Trapiche has received worldwide recognition for its relentless quest for innovation. The winery pioneered innovations such as the introduction of French varieties, the use of French oak barrels and the production of micro-terroir wines. The relentless determination to achieve the highest standards in the world of winemaking has resulted in Trapiche’s worldwide recognition.
Estacion 1883 is named after the train station near which the Trapiche winery was founded in 1883 and speaks to the rise of Argentine viticulture and winemaking during that period. Barrels of wine could easily be loaded into the train wagons and this transportation method meant that Trapiche wines could easily be delivered to the global consumer market and satisfying the growing thirst for Argentine wine.
