Tasting Notes
The nose opens with an intense and ethereal perfume; primary fruit and floral notes evolve into tobacco, spice, underbrush. The palate is well structured with the typical Nebbiolo high acidity and tannins. Fresh cherry and plum give way to leather, licorice and stony earth with some dried alpine herb notes. Layered and complex with a long finish. Decant it if you plan on drinking this now or set it aside to be rewarded in a few years as it develops further in bottle. Enjoy with polenta and stewed meats, game, any dish that contains truffle as an ingredient.
Method
The first vintage of a non-cru Barbaresco from the estate. Rounded yet restrained with dark fruits bound in a finely balanced tannins.
From a selection of older vines in the Trifolera vineyard and younger vines in the acclaimed Rabaja vineyard. Aged for 18 months in large oak cask.

So fun discovering all that this fine wine has to offer. Surprisingly approachable after only 3 years (and 14.5% alcohol), but no mistaking the power and complexity of this memorable wine. Like old burgundies? Spend an evening enjoying this beauty. From chips to veal or just go solo … the magic of Piedmont. A rare find.
