In 1981, Pask planted the first vines in an ancient Ngaruroro riverbed, founding Hawke’s Bay’s renowned Gimblett Gravels wine district. More than 30 years later, Pask winemaker Kate Radburnd remains as passionate as ever about creating wines to be shared and enjoyed.
Every bottle of Pask wine embodies the decades of experience, ethos of sustainability and care taken during every step of the winemaking process, elegantly expressing the region’s unique terroir. Pask wines have earned gold medals and trophy success in London, Australia, Asia, the United States, Canada and New Zealand across a range of varietals and styles.
Tasting Notes
A lively, fresh Sauvignon Blanc made in the signature, aromatic New Zealand style. Light straw with green hue. Fresh capsicum and herbal notes combine with ripe, tropical fruit providing a broad spectrum of flavours. Fresh lifted herbaceous characters with zesty tropical fruits.
Method
The fruit was sourced from our Gimblett Road vineyards. A combination of an early and a late pick, which blends fresh herbaceous characters with fuller, riper tropical flavours. Cool stainless steel fermentation with aromatic yeast produces this fresh, lively style.
